About Brazil Travel Plan
Brazil Travel Plan is a small specialist internet based tour operator offering a unique way of travelling around Brazil. Brazil Travel Plan is part of Rickshaw Travel, an online adventure tour operator created by travellers for travellers. Instead of going on a whirlwind tour of Brazil in a large tourist-filled bus, you'll travel independently by bus, private car, plane, and sometimes mini-bus. Our Brazil travel specialists will help you build your own trip, giving you complete control and freedom over your holiday. Jeremy BullBrazil Travel SpecialistEver since I was young South America always fascinated me and especially Brazil. The Amazon rainforest and the city of Rio de Janeiro where places I longed to visit. After spending over 2.5 years travelling around other parts of the world, I finally got around to it whilst on a 6 month trip to South America.Having spent the past few months visiting Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, I flew from Caracas to Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is the world’s fifth largest country and has so much to offer every type of traveller; from the dense virgin rainforest teeming with wildlife to the vibrant and iconic city of Rio de Janeiro, from the thundering Iguacu falls to the endless coastline littered with pristine tropical beaches. Memorable moments from my time in Brazil are riding the cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain, jet boating to the bottom of the Iguacu falls, fishing for Piranha in the Amazon, sailing around the beautiful island of Ilha Grande and dancing the night away in Salvador. Most of all, the things that make Brazil so amazing are the laid back friendly people, the endless natural wonders, the unique and abundant wildlife, its rich heritage and Caipirinhas (my favourite cocktail). |

Ceri JonesBrazil Travel SpecialistI took my first step onto Latin American soil when I landed in iconic Rio de Janerio to begin my first solo travel venture and it certainly lived up to the hype. I loved the flooded cobbled stone streets of Paraty and my experience in the Pantanal jungle chasing capybaras, tapirs and tarantulas was well worth every single mosquito bite.I always wanted to go back and see the north of Brazil and finally flew back to Manaus in 2009 for a 5 day boat trip down the Amazon river sleeping in a hammock with the locals. It was amazing to see the black and white rivers join. We fished for piranhas with bits of beef, barbequed them and ate them whole, although not their teeth of course! I beach hopped along the stunning North East coast with sand dunes which are out of this world, not to mention some of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen. Salvador was a definite highlight with its colonial streets, beautiful people, lively atmosphere and vibrant African culture. What I miss most are the amazing acai smoothies for breakfast. Learning Portuguese is still high up on my to do list so I hope to be ready for the next visit. |
Haydn WrathManagerBrazil Travel Plan is run by Haydn Wrath.I left the University of East Anglia in 1984 and escaped what seemed a very grim England by spending the rest of the 80's travelling independently and working myself round the world. During this time I put in some usual stints as an English teacher in Tokyo, a landscape gardener in Sydney and a tarmac layer's assistant in Alaska. In 1990, I joined Bridge the World Travel Centre in London as manager of the World-wide department, where I was able to put my degree in Politics and Philosophy to good use. I fulfilled my ambition to set up a specialist travel company in 2001 when I founded Travel Nation, and later in 2007 set up Rickshaw Travel and Brazil Travel Plan. |
